Originally coined by Ronald Reagan, the 40th president of the [[United States]], Trump used it as his campaign slogan in his 2016 campaign and has widely been used during his 2024 campaign. People in the MAGA cult are usually referred to as "MAGAts" or "Trumpers". Prominent members of the MAGA cult include [[Elon Musk]] and Marjorie Taylor Greene.

People in the MAGA cult tend to make extremely antisemitic, bigoted and racist comments to minorities and Democrat voters on social media sites. Most people in the cult use the Russian propaganda platform known as [[Twitter]], which Elon Musk owns. MAGA cult members tend to use profile pictures featuring Trump, and are very confident that Trump will defeat Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election. MAGA cult members defend anything that Donald Trump and his running mate [[JD Vance|J.D. Vance]] says such as a "joke" made at Trump's Nazi rally in Madison Square Garden, where a "comedian" described Puerto Rico as a "floating island of garbage". MAGA cult members will constantly harass their political opponents, repeatedly calling them "retards".

MAGA cult members also spread false information such as claiming that Trump won the 2020 presidential election, that Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris is a communist or that Haitian immigrants are eating cats and dogs. They will believe anything that Trump or Vance tells them, and then get upset when they are told that they are wrong.

In 2024, Trump said independent candidate, anti-vaxxer, propaganda spreader and conspiracy theorist Robert F. Kennedy, Jr would be in charge of public health using the phrase "Make America Healthy Again." (MAHA) if there is a second Trump administration.

== Under Musk ==
Since Elon acquired Twitter, the platform has turned into a fascist, right-wing and ultra-MAGA disinformation propaganda platform. Since 2022, there has been a massive increase in unmoderated hate speech and racism spread on the platform. Musk has also failed to ban right-wing extremists such as Libs of TikTok, who actively dehumanize left-wing and LGBT people. Additionally, Musk has allowed millions of bots on the platform that advertise pornography. These bots spam phrases such as "PUSSY IN BIO" in Tweets and send direct messages to users containing links to simulated sex chats. Musk has unbanned several right-wing extremists such as former United States president and Russian asset [[Donald Trump]], as well as users known for spreading CSAM.
